UPDATE: Kayaking Camp Out

posted Aug 11, 2016, 3:59 PM by Jason Ball
We will be meeting at St.Gabriel's Church at 5:30 Friday to load the trailer for the Kayaking Campout.

Remember - each patrol needs to bring a one small cooler per patrol to hold their patrols lunch on the back of the kayak on Saturday.  Please also bring 3 bungee straps to strap your cooler onto your kayak.
Fishing - For Scouts that would like to fish you can fish for trout without a license if you are under the age of 16.  For those 16 and older you can purchase a one day fishing license for $15.  Please bring a pole and trout fishing gear if you wish to fish.

Also Remember we are spending most of Saturday Kayaking so please bring the following items

Items to take on the river in your Kayak

Wide Brimmed Hat

water shoes, sandals or old tennis shoes (no flip-flops)

cheap sunglasses with strap – kayaks do tip over so don’t bring expensive glasses.

swim suit or quick drying shorts

fast drying t-shirt – no cotton

sunscreen (put it on in the morning and throughout the day)

large water bottle or bladder plus

Way to secure items into your kayak – strong karabiner with para cord or small synch bag

(optional) - waterproof disposable camera

Items we will bring to the river and leave in the cars for when we finish that day.

extra t-shirt (in Ziploc bag)
