Scouts and Scouters,

Camping – Beavers Bend State Park - http://www.beaversbend.com/

When: August 12 to 14

How Much per camper: $50 Tandem Kayak, $55 Kayak, Plus Patrol Food Cost

How Do I Sign Up: You need to sign up at next Monday’s scout meeting because spots are going fast and we may run out of Kayaks.

Tell me about it:  We will be kayaking on the Lower Mountain Fork River in Oklahoma and camping at Beavers Bend State Park.  Lower Mountain Fork river is a fast moving, refreshing cool river that is a BLAST to kayak on and ok for a novice Kayaker.  If you have not kayaked or canoed at all before we will have you ride with an adult or another scout that has kayaked before.  Also if you did not pass the swim test you will need to kayak with an adult that has passed the swim test.  For those that want to take on the river by themselves you can select a single person kayak.  In the afternoon when we are not kayaking there will be time for TROUT fishing in Beavers Bend State park.  Also if we have time we can get in a short hike in the state park.

Any questions you can email me at Curtis.Bagby@Emerson.com or call my cell 972-670-8677.

Yours in Scouting
