Hi Troop - the details for the Leader Specific Training just got published on the Lone Star District website.  This is for the classroom training for Scoutmasters and Assistant Scoutmaster, as well as the outdoor portion of this training, Introduction to Outdoor Leadership Skills.  If you want to take a more active role as an ASM in the troop but feel that you would like some additional guidance, then this training is perfect and will allow you to wear the "Trained" patch proudly.  Please shoot me an e-mail to let me know if you are signing up for this.

Introduction to Outdoor Leader Skills is the required outdoor training for all Scoutmasters, assistant Scoutmasters, Varsity Scout coaches, and Venture Crew Advisers.   The trainings of "Fast Start", "Youth Protection", and "This is Scouting", and position specific “Leader Specific” should be taken first.  It is $30 early (online a weak ahead) or $40 late registration.  The 7:30 pm Tuesday orientation is at the McKinney LDS building, 2801 Eldorado Pkwy, where round table is held.   We have stopped overlapping onto Sundays at all.  We will begin at 6 pm or so on the Friday and dismiss late Saturday at 9 or 10 pm after the camp fire portion of the training.
